Interstate Shipping & Returns Policy

At Tales of India, we take great care in packing and dispatching all orders. However, interstate deliveries involve third-party couriers and multiple handling points, which are beyond our direct control. To ensure transparency, please review our interstate policy below.


1) Damaged Items During Transit (Interstate Orders)

For orders shipped interstate, Tales of India is not liable to replace items or arrange re-delivery in the event of damage or leakage occurring during transit.

This applies especially to liquid and fragile items such as ghee, oil, milk, glass jars, and similar products.


2) Resolution Method

In case of damaged items during interstate transit:

  • A refund or store credit for the affected item(s) may be issued, subject to review.
  • Physical replacements are not provided for interstate orders.
  • Supporting photos of the damaged item and packaging may be required to process the claim.


3) Reordering & Shipping Costs

If the customer wishes to receive the items again:

  • A new order must be placed.
  • Shipping charges will apply as per the new order and destination.
  • Shipping costs from the original order cannot be reused or transferred.


4) Liquid & Fragile Items Disclaimer

Liquid items are packed with care and sealed before dispatch. Minor oiliness or residue around lids can occur due to temperature changes or courier handling and does not affect product quality.

For interstate deliveries, customers acknowledge and accept the additional transit risk associated with such items.


5) Reporting Timeframe

Any issues with interstate orders must be reported:

  • Within 24 hours of delivery, and
  • Along with clear photos of the item and packaging.

Claims reported after this period may not be eligible for review.


6) Courier Responsibility

Interstate deliveries are handled by third-party courier partners. While we work closely with them to improve delivery standards, Tales of India is not responsible for delays, handling issues, or damages once the order has been dispatched.

7) Policy Purpose

This policy helps us manage the high cost of interstate logistics and allows us to continue offering interstate delivery services to customers across Australia in a fair and sustainable manner.
